The Portland Metro Chamber and Downtown Portland Clean & Safe are hiring an advocacy professional to champion for the rehabilitation of our vital central city. The Coordinator for Downtown Portland Advocacy will identify, track and develop policies impacting Downtown Portland and advocate policy positions and necessary government actions that support downtown revitalization.
THIS ROLE IS CLOSED
This work will include:
- Serving as the primary point-of-contact between the Portland Metro Chamber, Downtown Portland Clean and Safe ESD (DPCS) and the City of Portland.
- Serving as a go-to contact for Downtown Portland stakeholders and DPCS ratepayers, helping to track issues that require city action to address in an urgent and timely manner.
- Coordinate the Community Engagement committee of the Downtown Portland Clean & Safe board. Assist with DPCS event planning such as community “open house events”, formal outreach with rate-payers and businesses, and assisting DPCS with larger forums and information events.

Salary
Salary range is $50,000-$60,000/yr.
