To support Portland’s small business entrepreneurs, the Chamber provides business education, resources, opportunities for relationship building–everything you need to turn your small business into a big business!

Free small business advising

Have a question about managing your business? Get free advice from a professional business advisor.

The Chamber, in collaboration with Portland Community College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), offers small business consulting at no cost.

Advising is open to any and all small business owners and is designed for businesses of all sizes – ranging from start-ups to established enterprises.

The one-hour sessions are conducted by professional business advisers at PCC Small Business Development Center. Sessions will be offered every Tuesday by appointment only at the Portland Metro Chamber office and/or via Zoom on other days of the week. All small business owners are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity!

Small Business Management Scholarship Program

Need a deeper dive into business management and operations? Ready for a comprehensive training course for taking your business to the next level?

In partnership with Portland Community College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Chamber offers a 10-month training program designed to help established small businesses increase revenue, improve operations, and hire great employees.

Through a generous grant from Bank of America, we are able to provide this training program for up-to 12 small businesses each year, at a drastically reduced cost.
