Katie Mongue joined the Chamber in May 2005 as a visual designer and now serves as Senior Director of Strategic Communications. In her role, she leads the Communications team and helps guides the strategy for both the Chamber and Downtown Portland Clean & Safe. Along with managing both organizations media platforms, her team collaborates across the organization to effectively communicate with members, stakeholders and community partners to support the economic vitality and prosperity of the Portland community. Prior to working for the Alliance, Katie worked for Portland Public Schools supporting their IT and Communications departments.
Katie is a native Portlander and graduated from Portland State University in 2001 with a degree in graphic design. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, training for the Portland to Coast walking relay, and spending time with her niece.
