Empowering tomorrow’s leaders for Portland’s future

Leadership Portland is the Chamber’s flagship civic engagement program, designed to help professionals better understand the institutions and critical issues shaping our region.

Through monthly program days, each cohort explores key aspects of civic life in Portland, including local and state government, public safety, land use, education, housing and infrastructure, and arts and culture. The program combines in-depth briefings, panel conversations, small group discussions, and behind-the-scenes site visits to provide a comprehensive view of how the region works.

Along the way, participants gain practical insight, build meaningful relationships, and develop a deeper understanding of Portland and their role in its future.

Leadership Portland is made possible, in part, through the support of:

I knew Leadership Portland would be impactful, but I didn’t realize how transformational it would be, both professionally and personally. From day one, I knew I was in the right place, surrounded by people committed to making a difference in our community. Thanks to this program, I am a stronger leader, equipped with new tools to support my organization and grow in my career.

Julie Dalrymple, Executive Director, Willamette Valley Wine Foundation (Class of 2026)

Why join Leadership Portland?

Participating in Leadership Portland has been an incredible opportunity to become more meaningfully informed about the strengths and needs of our community. Those insights are both practical and critical for any business leader. Understanding the systems and sectors that shape our region has made me more attuned to the opportunities we all have to strengthen it.

Shayda Le, Partner, Barran Liebman LLP (Class of 2026)
