The Chamber advocates on issues that affect your business and the community. Get involved! Or sit back and remain up-to-date, safe in the knowledge that we have your business interests at heart.
The Chamber provides education and resources to help grow your business (including but not limited to) free small business business advising, networking events, training programs, and more.
As a Chamber member, you have access to an array of benefits that can help increase consumer awareness of your brand and elevate its status in Portland’s market.
63 percent of consumers believe that a Chamber membership shows a company is invested in the local community; and 67 percent report that it is a indicator of following good business practices.
Chamber members have access to our office’s conference room free of charge and exclusive discounts on critical business expenses, like office supplies, subscriptions, travel, entertainment, and more.
We’re advocates for Portland and Portland’s business community… and we get results!
Here are a few of our accomplishments over the last year
We championed the creation of new investment incentives, such as the Business License Tax Credit and Enterprise Zone expansion, to stimulate economic growth in Portland’s Central City.
We won support for the creation of a department of small business in the City of Portland, as well as long-sought permit consolidation.
We successfully fought to reinstate criminal penalties for the possession of hard drugs and secured funding for Multnomah County’s 24/7 sobering center to support referral into drug treatment.
We represented the business community on the Governor’s Central City Task Force, pushing for a freeze on new taxes, long-term tax reform, and greater state funding to keep Portland clean and safe.
We organized the region’s largest D.C. Fly-In to date, bringing 150 business and civic leaders from Portland and Seattle to advocate for federal support for our cities.
We hosted over 100 events for our members–from galas to networking mixers–including some of the largest business gatherings in Portland since the pandemic. Over 4,000 members attended a Chamber event last year.
We supported countless small businesses across the region, with marketing promotion, Downtown Portland Clean and Safe’s Holiday Pop-Up storefront program, small business counseling, and our Small Business Management program.
We expanded leadership and civic-training programs, organizing our largest Leadership Portland class to-date, as well as launching an annual Best Practices Trip and Portland Advocacy Day in Salem.
