On June 24, 2026, the Portland Metro Chamber held their 2026 Annual Meeting presented by U.S. Bank. More than 700 regional business leaders, policymakers, and community partners gathered to discuss one of the most ambitious public-private investment projects in Oregon history, the future of the publicly-owned Moda Center and the broader Lower Albina neighborhood.
Discussions covered the importance of investing in civic and cultural venues as community assets, and the state’s share in supporting arena modernization the legislature passed earlier this year.
New Portland Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon joined for a fireside chat on his vision for the franchise and what it takes for Portland to be a “major league city.”
This event wasn’t just about sports but how it can be leveraged as an economic development tool for the benefit of the entire community.
