Tell us a little bit about your company

My name is Nancy and I started as a second generation business owner of Professional Auto Body and Paint (Propdx) in 2018. Professional Auto Body and Paint was founded by my partner’s parents in 1997 and when they decided to retire in 2017, I took over the family business. In order to stay competitive in the industry since taking over, we have done a lot of remodeling and rebranding to give the body shop a makeover.

I am also a part of the Cully Business Alliance Steering Committee, where we connect with local business owners, neighbors, community, and other local organizations (such as NAYA, Prosper Portland, 42nd Ave committee, PCC, PACCO, Oregon Environmental Council, Energy Trust of Oregon, Mercatus PDX) and much more!

What do you love most about your business?

I am very passionate about the work I can provide because I am able to share knowledge and resources to customers when they have an auto accident. Not many people are familiar with the auto insurance claim and repair process, so I want to ensure all of our customers feel comfortable and knowledgeable throughout the process. I am also proudly certified through Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID) which includes being:

  • Women-owned
  • Minority-owned
  • DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise)
  • ACDBE (Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise)
  • An emerging small business

Propdx became a member of the Alliance in 2022; what inspired you to join?

I was inspired to join because I believe in networking with other professionals, businesses, organizations, mentors, leaders, and like-minded individuals to share knowledge and experiences, so that we can all grow and be successful.

What is something you are most looking forward to in the year ahead?

I like to meet new people, especially people in our local community. We are still in a pandemic and it can be hard to network, so by joining Portland Business Alliance, I feel confident that the future events will help give us opportunities.

What should other Alliance members know about your business?

We are family-owned and operated and care about each of our customer’s auto insurance claims. We walk through every customer’s repair process and help advocate for our customer’s claim.
