The Portland Metro Chamber hosted its revamped signature event celebrating women professionals on Thursday, March 19, bringing together hundreds of the region’s most influential women leaders for a sold-out morning of connection, insight, and inspiration.
The centerpiece of the event was the debut of the State of Working Women report, developed in partnership with ECONorthwest— the first report of its kind in over a decade. The data-driven analysis offered a timely look at the current landscape for women in the workplace across the Portland metro region.

Following the report presentation by Lorelei Juntunen, President and CEO at ECOnorthwest, a reaction panel explored key findings, regional implications, and opportunities for meaningful action. Panelists included Liz Fuller, President & CEO of GARD Communications; Kristin Watkins, Vice President of Donor Engagement & Chief Marketing Officer at the Oregon State University Foundation; and Dr. Robin Beavers, Senior Vice President of Community and Social Impact at Portland Timbers. The panel was moderated by Graciela Gomez Cowger, CEO Emeritus of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, with Victoria Lara, CEO of Lara Media, serving as emcee.
The Chamber was also honored to present Candace Beeke, President and Publisher of the Portland Business Journal, with the 2026 Sandra K. McDonough Leadership Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership and lasting impact on the Portland business community. The Chamber also acknowledged Graciela Gomez Cowger with a proclamation, celebrating her groundbreaking career and enduring contributions to the region.
