In consideration of being allowed to register for any Portland Metro Chamber event, and any related events and activities (collectively, the “Event”), participants acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that: (i) they knowingly and freely assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; (ii) they willingly agree to comply with the terms and conditions for participation; (iii) if they observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, they will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and (iv) they, for themselves and on behalf of their heirs, assigned, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless the Portland Metro Chamber, Portland Business Alliance, the Portland Business Alliance Charitable Institute, Inc., its officers, officials, insurers, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsors and advertisers (collectively “Releasees”) from any and all claims, demands, losses and liability arising out of or related to any personal injury, disability or death I may suffer, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
By registering for Alliance events, participants agree that the Chamber, its employees and agents have the right to photograph, videotape and record me at this event and use their photographed, videotaped and/or recorded name, likeness, voice, and statements to promote the Chamber and our affiliated organizations, including without limitation, a derivative use, without compensation to me, at the sole discretion of the Chamber, and they release the Chamber, its agents, affiliates, and licensees from all liability connected to their use of their name, likeness, voice or statements including, without limitation, any right of privacy or publicity claims.
Registration to any Chamber event (including use of event tokens) constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Participants are understood to have read this release of liability, fully understand its terms, understand that they have given up substantial rights by agreeing to these terms, and hereby agree freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
