Emily joined the Downtown Portland Clean & Safe team in January 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from Melbourne, Australia, where she earned her Master’s in Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne. While abroad, she partnered with Arts Access Victoria, researching best practices for online programming for Artists with Disability. Later, at the City of Melbourne, she focused on post-COVID revitalization through events and sponsorships, aiming to increase free experiences citywide.
Returning to Oregon for family, Emily briefly collaborated with Portland Parks and Recreation’s Summer Free For All, leading the production of Free Movies and Cultural Events in the Park. She’s devoted to cultivating strong relationships with local businesses and the community, striving to create enduring connections and a sense of belonging in Portland.
Outside work, she’s an avid open water swimmer (yes, even in winter!), enjoys hiking with her dog, and loves hunting for vintage clothing with friends.
